HRA are a Thrash Punk band from West Auckland in New Zealand.
HRA or Howards Rock Apes were formed in 2004 by the westie piss-heads with a love of music that are Louis (vocals) Nic (drums) Josh (guitar) and Brendon (bass). HRA started jammin, continued drinking and in late 2004 started getting gigs at venues such as Lincoln Green, Hysteria, Kings arms, and wherever they hadnt already been kicked out of. Their sound comes from a variety of influences which range from punk (70s and 90s, none of this emo crap), ska, thrash, hardcore and a balls to the wall rock influence. This raucous in your face live act is not to be missed this year at a venue near you.
